This is the altar that is enclosed within the shrine walls. It is visible from the front of the shrine after ascending the stairs leading to the shrine’s lanai area. Notice the red torii in the front of the altar, the zig-zag-shaped paper streamers (called a “shi-de”), little fox statues, and other objects of significance.
